Project Description
In this project, we were commissioned to develop the official key art for FU, a psychological short exploring identity, ego, rejection, and the destructive pursuit of validation.
The objective was to create a poster that felt raw, confrontational, and emotionally unstable — reflecting the protagonist’s internal unraveling rather than presenting a literal narrative moment. The visual language needed to mirror fragmentation, obsession, and the collapse of self-perception while maintaining a bold, graphic presence suitable for festivals and digital platforms.
Our approach centered on contrast and distortion. We built a stark black-and-white composition that fractures the human form into something unstable and abstract — symbolizing the erosion of identity beneath ambition. The typography was treated with deliberate aggression, anchoring the composition with unapologetic directness. The final key art captures psychological tension and discomfort, inviting the viewer into the character’s fractured mind.
